Bittner, 60, of 1906 Letchworth Drive, Camp Hill, died Thursday, April 6, 1989, at his home. Formerly of Johnstown. He was employed as a dispatcher for Pennsylvania Truck Lines and formerly employed at the I.M.L. Freight Company. A member of the Nittany Lions Club. Survived by wife, Mrs. B. Joyce (Cassler) Bittner, formerly of Somerset; one daughter, Sandra Lee Bittner, Mechanicsburg; two sons, Jeffrey D. Bittner, Norfolk, Va., and Douglas E. Bittner, Camp Hill; two grandsons, Austin and Eric. Also the son-in-law of Mary Cassler and the late Austin E. Cassler of West Patriot Street, Somerset. Preceded in death by one sister, Mrs. Dolores Pringle of Punxsutawney. A memorial service will be held Saturday at 4 p.m. at the Barkley Chapel-Grace Lutheran Church, 1610 Carlisle Road, Camp Hill, with the Rev. Timothy A. Roser officiating. No viewing . Burial will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to Healthreach Home Care Hospice, 3601 North Progress Ave., Harrisburg, 17110.
