Born July 6, 1916, in Somerset Township, son of the late Silas Webster and Sarah Elizabeth (Claycomb) Bittner. Preceded in death by two brothers: George H. and Simon Bittner, and by six sisters: Ida Marie Bittner, Margaret Bittner, Estella Dolce, Florence Novison, Lois Snellbaker and Blanche Baker. Survived by his wife, the former Josephine S. Moskey, and by these children: Raymond L. Bittner, Eugene P. Bittner and Mrs. William (Debbie) Shannon, all of Cleveland, Ohio, and Mrs. Frank (Barbara) Carotenuto, Euclid, Ohio; also nine grandchildren, one great-grandson. Brother of Mrs. Anna Critchfield, Friedens RD 1; Mrs. Alice Stemple, West Palm Beach, Fla.; Harold J. Bittner, Cedarville, Mich.; Mrs. Anthony (Rebecca) Uhas, Sarasota, Fla., and Mrs. Donald (Lorene) Heinbaugh, Palm Bay, Fla. Retired employee of the Curtis-Wright Company of Cleveland, Ohio. World War II veteran of the U.S. Navy. Member of Emmanuel Presbyterian Church of Cleveland. Friends received from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Gredina-Faulhaber Funeral Home, Lakeshore Drive, Cleveland, Ohio, and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at rhe Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home, where services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, with the Rev.
