  BITTNER
  
  Elizabeth S. Bittner, 74, of Berlin RD 3, died Dec. 16, 1979, at the
  Goodwill Mennonite Home, Grantsville, Md.  Born May 26, 1905, in
  Somerset County, a daughter of Howard and Jennie (Tressler) Shirey. 
  Preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, Francis S., who
  died in 1973.  Survived by these children:  Mrs. Herbert (Mildred)
  Smith, Meyersdale RD 4; Harold W., Francis S. Jr., and Fred E., all
  of Berlin RD 3; 11 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.  She was
  a member of the Assembly of God Church, Shanksville.  Friends will be
  received after 7 p.m. Monday at the Johnson-Kuhlman Funeral Home,
  Berlin, where services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. with the Rev.
  Paul P. Pikerowski officiating.  Interment, Berlin I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
