Born Jan. 18, 1925 in Boynton, the son of the late Calvin and Cora (Stanton) Bittner. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Grace V. (Beachy) Bittner; a son, Clyde, Meyersdale; a daughter, Linda Faidley, Meyersdale; a brother, Frank, Meyersdale; three sisters: Selina Holler, West Salisbury; Ethel Bittner and Martha Spiker, both of Boynton; also five grandchildren. He was a retired heavy equipment operator and cement finisher. Army veteran of World War II. Member of Salisbury American Legion. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Newman Funeral Home, Inc., Salisbury, where services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday with the Rev. David E.
