HARRY F. BITTNER

  Harry F. Bittner, 59, former Prothonotary of Somerset County and a well-known 
Somerset Township school teacher for many years, died at 7:30 o'clock Christmas 
night at his home in Geiger after an extended illness.  He was a son of Samuel 
J. and Velinda (Coleman) Bittner.
  Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Mary (Schrock) Bittner; a son, Harold 
Bittner, Bayshore, Long Island, N.Y., and two sisters - Mrs. Charles Thomas, 
Temperance, Mich., and Mrs. Ida Boyer, Johnstown.
  Funeral services were conducted at 3:30 o'clock Monday afternoon by Rev. Reed 
S. Shirey, pastor of Grace Evangelical Church, Somerset.
