"Red" Bittner, 67, of 302 Diamond St., Berlin, died Dec. 17, 1982 at West Penn Hospital, Pittsburgh. He was born June 20, 1915 in Boynton, son of Edward F. and Bessie (Shoemaker) Bittner. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Lester. He is survived by two brothers: Harold E. of Berlin; and Charles Kenneth of Dover, N.H.; and two sisters: Mrs. Robert (Marie) Musser, Connellsville; and Mrs. Richard (Marian) Jones, Mechanicsburg. He was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, the Berlin Vol. Fire Dept., the Berlin Sportsmen's Assn.; and the Penna. Forest Fire Wardens. Friends were received at the Johnson-Kuhlman Funeral Home where services were held with the Rev. Kenneth S. Swanson officiating. Interment, Salisbury Cemetery. The Republic, December 23, 1982 [B1610]
