  BITTNER
  
    Henry W. Bittner, 56, of Friedens RD 2, died Sept. 25 1974 in
  Presbyterian University Hospital, Pittsburgh.  Born June 21, 1918 in
  Somerset County, the son of Robert and Cora (Ross) Bittner.  Preceded
  in death by parents; three brothers and a sister.  Survived by his
  widow, the former Mary Elizabeth Simmons and these children: James W.
  married to the former Judy Tawes, Baltimore, Md.; Sandra J. and
  Donald, both at home; and a granddaughter, Tamira Lynn.  He was the
  brother of Pearl, wife of Milton Long, Somerset RD 1; and Mrs. Sarah
  Zablotney, Boswell.  Also survived by a sister-in-law, Mrs. Rosella
  Bittner, Boswell.  He was retired from the Container Corporation of
  American Paper Manufacturers, Baltimore, Md.  He was a substitute
  mail carrier on Friedens RD 2.  Friends will be received from 7-9
  p.m. Friday and from 10 a.m. - 9 p.m. Saturday and until time of the
  service at 2 p.m. Sunday at Joseph H. Hoffman Funeral Home, 227
  Allegheny St., Boswell.  Rev. Chauncey J. Ickes officiating. 
  Interment, Friedens Lutheran Cemetery.
