Rev. John S. Hoenstine, pastor of the Lutheran Church, of which the deceased was a member will officiate. Henry Bittner, a son of William and Sarah (Hoover) Bittner, was born near Grantsville, Md., March 11, 1874, and died Tuesday morning, January 15, 1946, and an illness of over two years. He formerly worked as a miner and also farmed. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Agnes (Bockes) Bittner, and the following children: Mrs. Fannie Hetrick, South Fork; Mrs. Blanche Decker, Garrett; Mrs. Carrie Marker, Rockwood; Hubert Bittner, Mt. Clemens, Mich.; and Philson Bittner, Hollywood, Cal. Nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, and one brother, Harvey Bittner of Jennings, Md., also survive. Interment will be in the Highland Cemetery, Garrett, under the direction of Johnson and Sons, Berlin. Meyersdale Republican, January 17, 1946
