  BITTNER
  
    Irene Elizabeth Bittner, 80, Somerset RD 1, died March 20, 1989 at
  her residence.  Born Aug. 28, 1908 in Black Township, daughter of the
  late Oran and Eva (Lape) Walter.  Preceded in death by her husband,
  Ralph Bittner, in July 1988; and grandson, Melvin Pletcher.  Survived
  by two children: Jean, married to Melvin Pletcher of Somerset; and
  Ralph O. Bittner, married to the former Belinda Shaffer of Somerset
  RD 3; grandchildren, Debbie Pletcher, and Jodi and Lori Costea; and
  one sister, Avanelle Dunmeyer of Somerset RD 1.  A member of the
  Milford United Methodist Church, where she was church organist for
  many, many years.  Friends received 2-4, 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at the
  Wilbur D. Miller Funeral Home, where funeral service is Wednesday at
  1 p.m., the Rev. Rex Wasser officiating.  Interment, St. Johns
  Cemetery.  Family suggest memorial contributions be given to the
  Milford United Methodist Church.
