Bittner, 44, Orlando, Fla., formerly of Jennerstown, died unexpectedly Jan. 21, 2005, at his home. Born Feb. 4, 1960, in Somerset, son of Lloyd James Jr. and Lois A. (Gombita) Bittner. Preceded in death by grandparents, John F. and Anna F. Gombita and Lloyd J. Sr. and Beatrice Frances Bittner. Survived by parents, Jennerstown. Brother of Brian, married to Marjorie Keim, Quemahoning Township, Barbara, married to Thomas Kinley, Vinco and Mark, Jennerstown. Also survived by niece Ashley Bittner and nephews, Branden and Jeffrey Bittner and Benjamin, Ryan and Michael Kinley and numerous other relatives and friends. Attended St. Peter's Catholic School, Somerset, a 1978 graduate of North Star High School and a 1982 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown with a bachelor's degree in civil engineering. Resident of Florida since 1996. Employed by Disney Corp. and formerly worked for Universal Studios and Tampa-Hillsborough Expressway Authority. Also had been employed locally by PennDOT for approximately 20 years. Had attended St. Andrew's Catholic Church, Benscreek and the former St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Boswell. Enjoyed traveling and tending his home and landscape. Friends received 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Hoffman Funeral Home, Allegheny Street, Boswell, where vigil for the deceased will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday. Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Peter's Catholic Church, Somerset. The Rev. Msgr. Samuel J. Tomaselli, celebrant. Committal, Somerset County Memorial Park.
