As he had not gone to his evening meal the previous day, it was established by the attending physician and coroner that he died early Thursday evening. Death was attributed to coronary obstruction. Mr. Bittner was about 72 years old. He was born in Glencoe, the son of the late Benjamin and Delilah (Mull) Bittner. His wife died some years ago. He had been living at the Main Street rooming house for the past four or five years. He is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Sadie Baker of Garrett, and Mrs. Ida Walters of Somerset. Funeral services were conducted Sunday afternoon at one o'clock in the Konhaus Funeral Home, Rev. H. K. Hilner officiating. Burial was made in the Stoystown Cemetery.
