Bittner, retired miner of Boynton, died suddenly at his home at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, March 26, of angina pectoris. He had been grading in his yard when he was stricken, passing away in a very short time thereafter. He was born on November 5, 1884, a son of Ellen (Grove) and William H. Bittner, and was 63 years, 4 months and 21 days of age at his death. He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Grace Wellington; four sons, William, Ulysses, Fay and Russell Bittner; three sisters, Mrs. John Tressler, Mrs. Alex Thompson and Mrs. Russell Walker; two brothers, Howard and Calvin Bittner, and three grandchildren, all of Boynton. Funeral services were conducted at his home on Monday, March 29, at 2:30 p.m., Rev. Arthur Vespa officiating. Interment was in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Salisbury, in charge of Mortician Stanley M.
