  KARL R. BITTNER
  
    Karl R. Bittner, of Silver Spring, Md., formerly of Meyersdale,
  died July 28, in Washington Adventists Hospital.
    He was born on August 25, 1914, in Meyersdale, the son of Milton F.
  and Annie (Robertson) Bittner.  He was preceded in death by his
  parents and two brothers.
    He is survived by his widow, the former June Clawson of Maryland, a
  sister, Elizabeth B. Andrews of Meyersdale and a niece, Mrs. Elizabeth
  Ann Urbain of Somerset.
    Mr. Bittner was a member of St. Stephens Lutheran Church, Silver
  Spring, Md.; and of St. John's Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite Temple
  and Alma Shrine Temple, all of Washington, D.C.  A mortician in the
  Washington, D.C. area fro 35 years, Mr. Bittner retired in November
  of 1976.
    Friends were received and a memorial service held on Monday at the
  Hines-Rinaldo Funeral Home, Inc.  A graveside service and burial were
  on Tuesday at Union Cemetery, Meyersdale.
