  BITTNER
  
    Kenneth R. "Mutt" Bittner, 84, of Pleasant Union, Meyersdale RD 4,
  went to be with the Lord on Friday, Oct. 7, 1994.  Born March 8,
  1910, at Connellsville.  Son of the late Clifford and Laura
  (Petenbrink) Bittner.  Preceded in death by his wife, Irene M.
  (Crossland) Bittner, who died June 4, 1976; a son, Jack Bittner; a
  sister, Louella Hostetler, and three brothers:  Glenn, Carl and
  Vernon Bittner.  He was the last surviving member of his immediate
  family.  Retired construction worker and truck driver and enjoyed
  working with wood crafts.  Attended the Cumberland Church of God. 
  Survived by 4 sons:  Carl Bittner and wife Barbara, Cash Valley Road,
  LaVale, Md.; Jerry Bittner and wife Elaine, Bethlehem, Pa.; Ronald
  Bittner and wife Sandy, Colonial Heights, Va., and Larry Bittner and
  wife Mary, Reading; two daughters, Janie Gregory Mount Savage RD 1,
  Md., and Esther Kennell and husband, Ken, Sunny Side Road, Mount
  Savage, Md.; and a daughter-in-law, Shirley Bittner, Cumberland,
  Md.  Also 21 grandchildren, 40 great grandchildren, 9
  great-great-grandchildren and 3 step-great-grandchildren.  Friends
  were received Sunday and will be received from noon to 1 p.m. today
  at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, Hyndman.  Funeral service at
  funeral home at 1 p.m. today, with the Rev. Robert W. Fletcher
  officiating.  Interment, White Oak Cemetery.  Memorials may be sent
  to Somerset Hospital Home Health and Hospice Care, Somerset, Pa.
