  LESTER R. BITTNER
  
    Lester R. Bittner, 71, of 302 Diamond St., Berlin, died March 6,
  1981, at home.
    He was born Oct. 27, 1909, in Boynton, son of the late Edward F.
  and Bessie (Shumaker) Bittner.
    He is survived by his wife, the former Eleanor Bender; a daughter,
  Mrs. Deborah Ringler, Pittsburgh.  He was a brother of Harold E. and
  Harry W., both of Berlin; Charles Kenneth, Dover, N.H.; Mrs. Robert
  (Marie) Musser, Connellsville; and Mrs. Richard (Marian) Jones,
  Mechanicsburg.  He was a retired meat cutter and an Army veteran of
  World War II.  He was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church and
  Harry Fisher Post No. 445 American Legion.
    Friends were received at the Johnson-Kuhlman Funeral Home, where
  services were held with the Rev. Kenneth S. Swanson officiating. 
  Interment, Berlin I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
