  BITTNER
  
    Lester R. "Whitey" Bittner, 62, of Garrett, died Nov. 22, 1989, at
  his home.  Born June 12, 1927, in Garrett, son of Lewis and Myrtle
  (Shroyer) Bittner.  Preceded in death by parents and his wife, the
  former Mary Fuller.  He was a brother of Mildred Louise Countryman of
  Garrett RD 1 and Lloyd of Garrett.  He was retired from Baker Material
  Handling of Cleveland, Ohio.  World War II Navy veteran.  Member of
  United Church of Christ.  Family will receive friends from 2-4 and
  7-9 p.m. Friday at Deaner Funeral Home, Berlin, where service will be
  held at 11 a.m. Saturday, with the Rev. Leroy E. Logsdon
  officiating.  Interment, Highland Cemetery, Garrett.
