  Lloyd C. Bittner, 78, Garrett, died May 15, 2004, at Somerset Hospital.  Born
  Sept. 7, 1925, in Garrett, the son of Lewis and Myrtle (Shroyer) Bittner.
  Preceded in death by his parents; son, Buddy; brother, Lester and a sister,
  Louise Countryman.  Survived by his wife, the former Evelyn Stott; daughters,
  Juanita Shaffer, Clarendon, and Tennetta, married to Dennis Buonocore,
  Standfordville, N.Y.; a stepdaughter; six grandchildren; seven
  great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.  Retired coal miner from
  Cambria Fuels and a World War II Navy veteran.  Member of the Garrett VFD;
  Legion Post 112, VFW Post 3504 and the Moose Lodge, all of Meyersdale; and
  the FOE Aerie 1801, Somerset.  Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7
  to 9 p.m. Monday at Deaner Funeral Home, Berlin, where a service will be held
  10:30 a.m. Tuesday.  The Rev. Sherman Berkey officiating.  Interment, Berlin
  IOOF Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be sent to the Garrett Fire Company
  Benefit, Garrett, Pa. 15542.
