Born June 8, 1931 in Berlin, the daughter of Henry Deane and Vera June (Baldwin) Davis. Preceded in death by her parents. Survived by husband, Duane Francis Bittner, to whom she was married 51 years as of June 24, 2000; children, Mrs. James E. (Carole) Blair of Greensburg; Deane A. Bittner and fiance Kim Wissinger, both of Somerset; Ms. Darlene F. Shaulis and friend Lee Manners, both of Somerset; Mrs. Eric J. (Shelly) Hay of Somerset; seven grandchildren: Melissa May, Mrs. Steven J. (Kelly Blair) Perry, Kristi Bittner, Nicole Shaulis, Michael, Matthew and Heather Hay; and two great-grandchildren: Kelsey and Colin May. Member of Geiger Church of the Brethren. A 1949 graduate of Berlin High School and was an avid bear collector. Friends received from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Monday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home, Somerset, where services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday, with the Rev. Gerald E. Deffenbaugh officiating.
