Bittner, 72, 531 Allegheny St. Boswell, died Oct. 1, 1976 at Somerset Community Hospital. Born March 20, 1904 in Lincoln Twp., Somerset County, the daughter of John and Alice (Smith) Brant. Preceded in death by husband, Marlyn G. who died Oct. 29, 1965, daughter Bertha, wife of Neil Daniel S., of Erie who died July 6, 1966. Also these brothers and sisters: James L., S., George B., Jacob H., Glenn Z., Mrs. Mayme Emert, and Mrs. Raye Spangler. Survived by these grandchildren: William, Patricia, James, David, Pamela and Charlene. Was a sister of J. Gordon, Berlin, Paul W. and Wilbert M., both of Friedens RD 1, and Monroe D., of Yorke. Member of Covenant Presbyterian Church, Boswell, Ladies Bible Class and Ladies Aid Society of the church. Also Auxiliaries to Boswell Volunteer Fire Company. Friends received from 7-9 p.m. Saturday and from 10 a.m. until 9 p.m. Sunday at the Joseph H. Hoffman Funeral Home, 227 Allegheny St., Boswell, where service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Monday. Rev.
