  Mary E. Bittner, 64, Friedens RD 2, died March 20, 1984, at Somerset
  Community Hospital.  Born Nov. 20, 1919, in Hendricks, W.Va.,
  daughter of William and Ora (Boyles) Simmons.  Preceded in death by
  parents; husband, Henry W., who died Sept. 25, 1974; sister, Juanita
  Reese; and brother, Clyde.  Survived by three children:  James W.,
  married to the former Judy Tawes, Baltimore, Md.; Sandra J.,
  Somerset; Donald L., at home; and three grandchildren.  Sister of: 
  William, Morgantown, W.Va., and Bessie Simmons, Friedens RD 2. 
  Friends received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday at the Hoffman
  Funeral Home, 227 Allegheny St., Boswell, where service will be held
  at 11 a.m. Friday with the Rev. Chauncey J. Ickes officiating. 
  Interment, Friedens Lutheran Cemetery.
