  MARY BITTNER
  
    Mrs. Mary Bittner, 80, of Boynton, died July 15, 1972, in
  Meyersdale Community Hospital.
    Born in Elk Lick Township, Nov. 7, 1891, she was a daughter of the
  late Henry and Julia (Mervine) Hersh.  She was preceded in death by
  her husband, Howard Bittner.
    She was a member of Salisbury United Methodist Church.
    Surviving are two sons, John Bittner, Meyersdale; and Howard
  Bittner Jr., Pittsburgh; four daughters, Mrs. Irene Hook, Hanford,
  Calif.; Mrs. Dorothy Smith, Cascade, Md.; Mrs. Pauline LeRoy, Tucson,
  Ariz.; and Mrs. Rita Jean Wilt, Grantsville; also 17 grandchildren and
  eight great-grandchildren.
    Funeral service was conducted Monday afternoon in Thomas Funeral
  Home, Salisbury, with Rev. William K. Ferguson officiating. 
  Interment in Salisbury Cemetery.
