MARY BITTNER

  Mrs. Mary (Markle) Bittner, aged 88 years, 6 months and 28 days, widow of 
Charles Bittner, a veteran of the Civil War, died last Friday at the home of her 
son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Milton E. Meyers, of Grant Street.  She 
had been ill for one week, suffering from infirmities of age.
  She was a native of Greenville Township, but had resided here since the death 
of her husband 25 years ago.
  She is survived by her daughter, 16 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren.
  Funeral services were conducted Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Meyers 
home, in charge of Rev. Howard Hilner, pastor of the local Lutheran Church.  
Interment in the Fritz Cemetery, in charge of Undertaker J. L. Tressler.
