  BITTNER
  
  Myrtle Irene Bittner, 85, of Garrett, died Dec. 16, 1988, at Somerset
  Community Hospital.  Born Nov. 19, 1903, in Allegheny Township,
  daughter of Frank and Susan (Glessner) Shroyer.  Preceded in death by
  parents; husband, Lewis; two sisters and one brother.  Survived by
  these children:  Mildred Louise Countryman of Garrett RD 1; Lloyd,
  married to the former Evelyn Stott, Berlin RD 3; and Lester of
  Garrett; also, four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. 
  Sister of Mildred Thomas of Berlin; Pearl Hillegass of Berlin RD 1;
  Curtis of Fairhope RD 1; and Stanford of Kansas.  Former member of
  Garrett United Methodist Church.  Family will receive friends from
  3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Saturday at Deaner Funeral Home, BERLIN, where
  service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday with the Rev. Leonard Day
  officiating.  Interment, Highland Cemetery, Garrett.
