  PHILIP H. BITTNER
  
    Philip Henry Bittner, 56, Berlin, RD 4, died suddenly June 24 while
  at work in Frostburg.
    He was employed as a track foreman for the Western Maryland Railway.
    Born in Glencoe, he was a son of the late James and Eva (Ackerman)
  Bittner.
    He is survived by his wife, Mary E. (Weimer) Bittner; five sons,
  Henry Bittner Jr., Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio; James B. Bittner, Akron,
  Ohio; Paul R. Bittner, Somerset; Larry A. and Carl E. Bittner, at
  home.
    Also surviving are a brother, James Bittner, Glassport; two
  sisters, Mrs. Genevieve Cook, Glencoe, and Mrs. Betty Smith, Berlin;
  three step-sisters, Mrs. Juble Werner, Glencoe; Mrs. Ida Owens and
  Mrs. Rose Edwards, Cumberland; four step-brothers, Bunn and Bert
  Cook, Pittsburgh; Homer and Robert Cook, Glencoe, and five
  grandchildren.
    Service was held June 27 at the Price Funeral Home, Meyersdale,
  with Rev. Herald Seese officiating.  Interment was in the Hostetler
  Cemetery.
