  RACHAEL S. BITTNER
  
    Mrs. Rachael S. Bittner, 90, of Somerset RD 6, died Jan. 10, 1979,
  at the Presbyterian Home, Johnstown.
    She was born Sept. 15, 1888, in Elk Lick Township, a daughter of
  the late Jonas and Susan (Hershberger) Stevanus.  She was preceded in
  death by husband, Roy T.; two sons:  J. Richard and Sgt. Harold A.,
  killed in World WWII.  She is survived by the following children: 
  Mrs. Helen Sminiski of St. Petersburg, Fla.; Roy of Bedford Heights,
  Ohio; and two sisters:  Mrs. Matilda Naylor of El Cajon, Calif.; and
  Mrs. Orpha Knaebel of Lodi, Ohio; also 11 grandchildren and 19
  great-grandchildren.
    She was a member of St. Paul's Presbyterian Church, Somerset.
    Friends were received at the Richard E. Hauger Funeral Home where
  services were conducted with the Rev. Carl Hull officiating. 
  Interment, Casebeer Cemetery.
    The family requests that contributions be made to St. Paul's
  Presbyterian Church or the Presbyterian Home in Johnstown.
