  BITTNER
  
  Ralph Leroy Bittner, 79, Somerset RD 1, died July 15, 1988, at his
  residence.  Born August 5, 1908, in Black Township, son of the late
  Samuel and Ida (Kretchman) Bittner.  Preceded in death by five
  brothers and two sisters, and grandson Melvin Earl Pletcher III. 
  Survived by his wife of 57 years, the former Irene Walters.  Also
  survived by daughter Jean, married to Melvin Pletcher, Somerset, son
  Ralph, married to the former Belinda Shaffer, Somerset RD 3,
  granddaughters Debbie Pletcher, Rockwood RD 1, Jody and Lori Costea,
  Somerset RD 3, sisters-in-law Janet Bittner, Rockwood RD 1, and
  Avanelle Dunmeyer, Somerset RD 1.  Member of Milford United Methodist
  Church and retired welder for Bogner and Company.  Friends received
  Sunday 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. at Wilbur D. Miller Funeral Home, where
  funeral service will be 1:30 p.m. Monday, the Rev. Rex Wasser
  officiating.  Place of final rest, St. John's Cemetery.
