  Ronald F. Bittner Sr., 63, of Kantner died Oct. 16, 2001 at home. 
  Born Oct. 28, 1937 in Somerset, son of Norman and Ethel (Beech)
  Bittner.  Preceded in death by parents and brother Robert.  Survived
  by his wife of 31 years, the former Denise Ohler, and these
  children:  Phillip, married to the former Rhonda Kreger, Berlin;
  Robin Bittner, Toni married to Harry Tunstall, and Renea married to
  Darl Henry, all of Somerset; Tammy married to John Emerick,
  Hollsopple; and Ron Jr., married to the former Mary Locher,
  Stoystown.  Also survived by eleven grandchildren; a brother Norman
  Bittner Jr., Somerset; a sister Nina married to Phillip Stevanus,
  Friedens; and a sister-in-law Sharon Bittner, Oklahoma.  Former
  employee of Svonavec Coal Co., and a member of Kantner Assembly of
  God.  Family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, 2 to 4
  and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown, where
  service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Rev. Marty Critchfield and
  Rev. James Hodges officiating.  Interment, Odd Fellows Cemetery,
  Stoystown.  Memorial contributions may be given to Windber Hospice,
  600 Somerset Ave., Windber, Pa. 15963.
