Main St., West Newton, died March 10, 1975, in her daughter-in-law's home, Blanch Bittner, where she was also residing. Born March 15, 1887 in Somerset County. She was preceded in death by her husband Daniel W. Bittner in 1962 and by a son Charles A. Bittner in 1968. She had been a member of the First Baptist Church, W. Newton since 1931. Surviving: one sister Mrs. Mary Kreger of Wilkensburg, 3 daughters, all of West Newton, Mrs. Howard (Dorothy) Puffer and Mrs. August (Cleo) George and Mrs. Harold (Blacnche) Kelley. Three sons, Daniel B. of Casselman, Wilbur J. of W. Newton and Clyde G. Sr. also of W. Newton. 19 grandchildren, 44 great-grandchildren, 26 great-great-grandchildren. Friends received at the J. William McCauley Funeral Home, West Newton, Wednesday 2-4, 7-9 p.m. Services will be held at the funeral home Thursday at 11 a.m. with Rev. Robert V. Hanrahan officiating.
