Bittner, widow of the late Wesley Bittner, died Friday morning, November 8, in the Memorial Hospital, Johnstown, where she had been a patient for five months. She was aged 47 years, 10 months and 24 days. She was a former resident of Meyersdale, but had lived in Johnstown the last four years. A daughter of Mrs. Jane (Seibert) Lindeman and the late Nelson Lindeman, she was born in Summit Township, Dec. 4, 1898. Surviving are four daughters - Mrs. James B. McCombie and Mrs. Vincent G. Leckey of Johnstown; Mrs. Evan E. Hoover, Somerset and Miss Virginia, at home; four sisters and three brothers - Mrs. Bertha Ludwig, Mrs. Edith Fuller, William H. Lindeman and Charles H. Lindeman, Connellsville; Mrs. Forrest Fussing and Mrs. Della McCabe of Toledo, Ohio, and Henry K. Lindeman, Columbus, Ohio. She is also survived by her mother, who resides near Meyersdale and four grandchildren. Friends and relatives were received at the Price Funeral Home, Meyersdale, until Monday at 1 p.m., when the body was removed to the Main Street Brethren Church, where it lay in state until services at 2 p.m., conducted by Rev. Archie Lynn of Johnstown, assisted by Rev. Gerald Polman, pastor of the Main Street Brethren Church. Interment was made in Union Cemetery under the direction of W. C. Price & Son.
