WESLEY M. BITTNER

  Wesley M. Bittner, 53, died Friday morning, Dec. 26, at the home of his 
brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. John W. Gauntz of 100 High Street.  He 
had been ill only a few days.  He was employed by the Baltimore & Ohio Railroad 
Company for a number of years.
  He was a son of Herman and Sarah (Landis) Bittner and was born on February 13, 
1888.
  Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Verda (Lindeman) Bittner, and these children: 
Mrs. Margaret Hoover, Somerset; Alice, Freda and Virginia Bittner, living with 
their mother in Johnstown.
  He was a brother of Mrs. John W. Gauntz, mentioned above; Mrs. David Lawson 
and Harry Bittner, both of Meyersdale, and Lewis Bittner, Scottdale.
  Funeral services were conducted Sunday at 2:30 p.m. by Rev. A. O. Lorenz, at 
the Gauntz home where he was staying when he became ill and passed away.
  Funeral arrangements were in charge of H. R. Konhaus, Meyersdale mortician. 
Interment in Union Cemetery.
