Black, 102, Confluence, died July 20, 1980, at her home. She was born June 29, 1878, in Uniontown, a daughter of the late Dr. T. F. and Nancy (Hopwood) Farmer. She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Jean Ross of Pittsburgh; a son, Dr. Harold Black, Everett; a granddaughter, Mrs. Jean Krivenki of Mentor, Ohio; and a grandson, W. H. Black Jr. of Winchester, Va.; and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar. She was a member of the Confluence United Methodist Church from 1900 and a member of the D.A.R. and the oldest resident of Confluence. Friends were received at the Humbert Funeral Home, Confluence. Funeral services were held Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the Confluence United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Arthur Gotjen officiating. Interment, Addison Cemetery. The Republic, July 24, 1980 [B1709]
