Black, aged 46 years, of 141 1/2 Horner Street, Johnstown, passed away at 6:25 o'clock Wednesday morning in Memorial Hospital, to which he was admitted on November 29. His death was caused by acute bronchitis. He had been employed as a conductor for the Bethlehem Steel Corporation. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Anna Jane (Carter) Black; one son, James, aged five years and his mother, Mrs. James Black. The widow is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Carter of Meyersdale. Mr. Black was well known here, having formerly lived in Meyersdale. His body will be brought here for interment in Union Cemetery, at 1 o'clock, Saturday afternoon. Rev. George A. Fallon will conduct the funeral service here. W. C. Price will have charge of the burial arrangements. Meyersdale Republican, December 4, 1930
