  BLACKBURN
  
  J. Clark (Blackie) Blackburn, 81, Friedens RD 2, died Dec. 16, 1986,
  in Mercy Hospital, Johnstown.  Born Feb. 22, 1905, in New Paris,
  Bedford County, son of the late J. I. and Carrie (Beckley)
  Blackburn.  Preceded in death by two sisters, Olive Cuppet and Luella
  Fetter; and two brothers, Lloyd and Bruce.  survived by his wife, the
  former Jean Kimmel; and the following children, John C.:  Indian
  Lake; Susan Watts, Harrisburg; and Barbara Baserman, Butler; and
  seven grandchildren.  Brother of Tom, Johnstown, and Ruth Rouser,
  Manns Choice.  Member of Shanksville United Methodist Church and
  Travelers Protective Association.  Retired salesman for Sunshine
  Biscuit Co. after 36 years.  He served two terms, eight years, as
  Treasurer of Somerset County.  Friends will be received 2-4 and 7-9
  p.m. today (Wednesday) at Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home where
  services will be conducted Thursday at 1 p.m., the Rev. Robert
  Slack.  Interment, Cuppett Cemetery, New Paris.
