She was born April 28, 1910, in Twin Rocks, daughter of late Dr. William A. and Maude (Grumbling) Prideaux. She was preceded in death by three sisters and a brother. She is survived by nephews, Dr. William P. Smith, Ebensburg; Dr. Frederick R. Smith, Confluence; James S. Jenkins III, Plantation, Fla.; and Dorning Metzler, Greensboro, N. C.; and niece, Elizabeth Collins, Washington; also 12 grandnieces and grandnephews. She attended United Methodist Church; retired home economics teacher for Blacklick Valley High School. B.S. degree graduate of Drexel University. She was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma honorary sorority. Friends were received at Askew-Houser Funeral Home, Ebensburg, where services were held at 3 p.m. Sunday, the Rev. Clayton Harriger. Interment, Lloyd Cemetery. The Republic, November 19, 1987 [B1726]
