Blair, 76, of Somerset, died June 28, 1982, Somerset Community Hospital. Born Sept. 7, 1905, in Vandergrift, Pa., the son of William and Anne (King) Blair. Preceded in death by a daughter, Sandra, and one brother. Survived by his widow, the former Mildred S. Harrold, and these children: Lois and Peggy of Somerset; James, married to the former Carol Bittner of Jeannette, Pa.; and a granddaughter Kelly. Also these brothers and sisters: Mrs. Eloise Helmick, Cleveland, Ohio; Mrs. Ambrose Galius and Fred, both of Vandergrift; Mrs. Queen Barbioux of Tarentum, Pa. He was a member of the Church of the Brethren of Greensburg, a member and past master of the Somerset Lodge 358 F&AM, Cowdersport Consistory. He is a Past Grand Tall Cedar of Tall Cedars of Lebanon, Westmoreland Forest No. 77, member and past president of Somerset County Shrine Club. He was a retired sergeant of the Pennsylvania State police. Friends received in the Richard E. Hauger Funeral Home 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, where services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday, the Rev. James D'Amico. Interment, St. Clair Cemetery, Greensburg.
