Born Aug. 9, 1903, in Stoystown a son of George H. and Anna (Geiger) Blanset. Preceded in death by parents, and one brother, Ralph D. Sr. Survived by his wife, the former Eva Kallman; one son, the Rev. Ray E. Blanset, married to the former Betty Lee Merryman of Hanover; two grandchildren, Deborah Faith and David Ray; one sister, Mrs. Margaret Steach of Stoystown. He was a retired bulk milk hauler for Sani Dairy for 46 years. Member of Grace Lutheran Church, Stoystown, Stoystown Volunteer Fire Company, having served as fire chief. He was a former borough councilman and a member of the Pennsylvania unit of Wally Byam Caravan Club. Family received friends Sunday evening and will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday (today) in the Charles R. Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown, and until noon Tuesday when the remains will be removed to Grace Lutheran Church, Stoystown, to lie in state from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. services with the Rev. Herbert G. Hohman officiating. Interment, Somerset County Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Grace Lutheran Church memorial fund. Daily American, 5 November 1973 [B1757]
