    Dereta L. Blasco, 54, Stoystown, died July 7, 2000, at Conemaugh Medical
  Center.  Born Nov. 7, 1945, in Somerset, daughter of Joseph and Emma
  (Berkebile) Veres.  Preceded in death by parents, granddaughter, McKenzie
  Buchanan, father-in-law and mother-in-law, Vincent and Laura Blasco. 
  Survived by husband of 36 years, William, and these children:  Christine,
  married to Mark Buchanan, Kimmelton; Jodi, married to Jeffrey Thomas,
  Somerset; and Shannon and fiance Michael Adams, Stoystown; grandchildren: 
  Ashlynn Thomas and Colton Buchanan; brothers:  Douglas Veres, Stoystown,
  Rick Veres married to the former Linda Smith, Friedens; sister-in-law
  Linda, married to Clyde Boyer, Pittsburgh; numerous nieces and nephews. 
  Member of Otterbein United Methodist Church, Wilbur.  Family will receive
  friends from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday at Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown,
  where service will be held Monday at 2 p.m., with the Revs. William J.
  Blair and Samuel J. Weible officiating.  Interment, P.O.S. of A. Cemetery,
  Hooversville.  Memorial contributions may be given to American Cancer
  Society or American Red Cross.
