Blewitt, 83, died Sunday, Aug. 12, 1990, at his residence. Born Dec. 29, 1906, in Ruddle, he was the son of the late William P. and Daisy (Lantz) Blewitt. Rev. Mr. Blewitt was a retired minister for the Assembly of God Church, having served for 51 years in Hancock, Md., Triangle and Windsor, Va., Dry Fork and Cabins. He attended New Testament Faith Assembly of God, Capon Bridge. He is survived by his widow, Zella (Nelson) Blewitt; three sons, Nathan C. Blewitt, Edinburg, Va.; James P. Blewitt, Hartwell, Ga.; and David W. Blewitt, China Grove, N.C.; one daughter, N. Ruth Watson, Triangle; one sister, Ethel Burns, Charlottesville, Va.; 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Friends were received at the Giffin Funeral Home, Capon Bridge, where services were conducted Wednesday at 11 a.m. by the Rev. Wallace Odum, the Rev. Willaim [sic] Fout and the Rev. Lester Godwin.
