He was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry Blocher, Garrett County pioneers, who founded the settlement bearing their name. Bradford Blocher was a farmer and member of Zion Methodist Church at Long Stretch. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Mary Wade Blocher, and a son, George Blocher, at home; two brothers, Bruce Blocher, Long Stretch, and Harvey Blocher, Chicago; and one sister, Mrs. William Turner, living near Shade Mill.
