Blocher of Jacksonville, Fla., formerly of Port Ritchey, Fla., passed away Jan. 8, 2003 at Orange Park Medical Center, orange Park, Fla. Born in Meyersdale, he moved to Florida in 1972 from Confluence where he was an elementary school principal for Turkeyfoot Valley School District. Charles was also a member of King of Kings Lutheran Church, Port Ritchey and was a World War II veteran serving in the U.S. Army. He was also a member of the VFW and American Legion in Confluence. He is survived by a son, Harold R. Blocher of Jacksonville, Fla., a daughter Ida Mae Reckner of Confluence, two grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
