HARRY M. BLOCHER

  Word has been received by relatives in Grantsville of the death of a former 
resident, Harry M. Blocher, 63, at his home in Chicago, Ill. December 30.  
Funeral services were conducted in that city on Jan. 2. 
  Mr. Blocher was the son of the late Henry and Salina Chaney Blocher, the 
family being pioneer settlers and residents of Western Maryland.  He was born 
December 1, 1883, at the old homestead between Frostburg and Grantsville.
  Surviving are his wife Mrs. Cora Lee Blocher, Chicago; one sister, Mrs. 
William Turner, Shade Mills; one brother, Bruce Blocher, Long, Md., and a number 
of other relatives.  Mr. Blocher was a resident of Chicago for some years.
