  JOHN H. BLOCHER
  
    John H. Blocher, 83, Meyersdale, died March 25, 1972, in Meyersdale
  Community Hospital.  Born Sept. 27, 1888, in Meyersdale, he was a son of
  the late Joseph and Margaret (Zechner) Blocher.  He was preceded in death
  by his wife, the former Della Bowman.
    Surviving are a son, John Lynn of Cleveland, Ohio and a granddaughter.
    He was a retired mail carrier with 40 years of U.S. Postal service.  He
  was a member ad past master of Meyersdale Lodge, F & AM 554 and of Hebron
  Royal Arch Chapter, served as secretary of the lodges for many years, and
  participated in their teams of instruction.  A member of Main Street
  Brethren Church, he served on its board for a long time.
    Funeral service was held Tuesday afternoon in Price Funeral Home,
  Meyersdale, with Rev. Robert Hoffman officiating.  Interment in Union
  Cemetery.
