URBAN O. BLOCHER

  Word has been received by relatives here of the death of Urban O. Blocher at 
Wayne, Mich., on Sunday, May 5, after a year's illness.  Mr. Blocher, son of the 
late Wesley and Ellen Stanton Blocher, was born on the Blocher farm, east of 
Grantsville, and was of an old respected family of Garrett County.  He spent all 
his life in Grantsville until five years ago, when he moved to Michigan.  He had 
been employed at Ford's Museum until ill health overtook him.  Besides several 
nephews and nieces, he is survived by a brother, Dr. V. L. Blocher, of 
Baltimore.  Funeral services and burial took place in Wayne last Wednesday.
