He was born Feb. 5, 1894 in Hamilton, Pa. and was the son of James and Margaret (Adams) Blose. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, David, Richard and Herman and three sisters, Tillie Grube, Sadie Winning and Mary White. He is survived by his wife, the former Mary Wilkens, one daughter, Mrs. Esther Lange of Tire Hill, Pa. and one grandson, Eldon Lange. He was a retired coal miner and a member of the Hooversville United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Charles R. Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown where services will be conducted 10:30 a.m. Friday with the Rev. J. Robert Peterson officiating. Interment at the P. O. S. of A. Cemetery in Hooversville.
