    Alverta (King) "Bertie" Blough, 74, Somerset, died May 15, 2008, at her
  daughter, Deborah's home  surrounded by all her children. Born June 29, 1933, 
  in Somerset, daughter of Stanford and Margaret (Hemminger) King. Preceded in
  death by parents;  three infant children; grandson, Jeffrey Blough;  sisters,
  Hilda Shawley-Vallies and Dolores King;  and brothers, Jay and Carl King.
  Survived by children, Jay Blough, married to the former Kim Wilson, Somerset;
  Deborah, married to Barry Hause, Stoystown; Kathleen, married to Peter Torley,
  Mesa, Ariz.;  Richard Blough, married to the former Sally Coughenour,  Jenners;
  and Melissa, married to Craig Halle, Somerset;  14 grandchildren; and five
  great-grandchildren; sisters, Janet Blough, Somerset Pike; Charlotte Shafer, 
  Gray; and Lorraine Lapp, Jerome; brothers, Denver King, Laughlintown; and Ray
  King, Jenner Township; and  special friend, Richard Benne, Somerset. Before
  she  became ill, she attended the Laurel Hill Gospel  Tabernacle, Jennerstown.
  She enjoyed planting  flowers and taking care of her home. Viewing from  1 to 3
  and 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the Hoffman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 227
  Allegheny St., Boswell, where a service will be held at 8 p.m. Saturday. The
  Rev. Samuel Coughenour officiating. In lieu of  flowers donations in Alverta's
  memory may be sent to  "In-Touch" Hospice, 223 S. Pleasant Ave., Somerset,  PA
  15501.
