Born Sept. 30, 1915, in Thomas Mills, oldest of the 11 children of the late William H. Sr. and Lydia (Yoder) Saylor. Lydia was a direct descendant of Joseph Johns, founder of Johnstown. Also preceded in death by husband of 51 years, Lester M. "Slats" Blough Sr., on July 15, 1984; grandson, Hans Blough; sister, Beulah M. Johns and brother, William H. Saylor Jr. Survived by children, the Rev. Ronald E., married to the former Marlene Bingham, Hoonah, Alaska; Vivian D., married to the Rev. Charles Lee, Brockway; Annie Lou, married to Eugene Pritts Sr., Woodstown; Lester M. Jr., married to the former Fariba Ageli, Boston; and Virginia F., married to the Rev. Lee Lohre, Augusta, Ga.; grandma of all grandmas, she was beloved "Gramma Bea" to 26 grandchildren, 48 great-grandchildren, and one great great-grandchild as well as the many children (and adults) who knew and loved her. Also survived by brothers, James J., widower of the former Mary Margaret Davis; Robert Y., married to the former Audrey Loughner, John J., married to the former Betty Mock; and Frank D., married to the former Leona Mack, all of Davidsville; sisters, Violet M., married to Lee Wible; Betty J., married to Richard Layton, both of Davidsville; Nancy L., married to Jacob Shaffer, Friedens; and Roberta F., married to Thomas Bowman, Nokesville, Va.; and sister in- law, Ella Jean (Coyle) Saylor, Davidsville. Viewing from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday and 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Hoffman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 109 Church Road, Davidsville. Viewing also from 1 p.m. until the time of service 2 p.m. Tuesday at Davidsville Community Church. The Rev. Michael Beam, the Rev. Charles Lee and the Rev. Lee Lohre officiating.
