  BLOUGH
  
    Betty Jean Blough, 78, of Greencastle, formerly of Somerset, died March
  31, 1998, at her home.  Born Sept. 16, 1919 at Ralphton, she was the
  daughter of the late Carl A. and Ada (Heiple) Shaffer.  She also was
  preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Clyde H. Blough, on Sept. 15,
  1993; a son, Clyde H. Blough, Jr.; a grandson; and a brother, Carl A.
  Shaffer.  Surviving are three sons:  Paul E. Blough of Hyndman RD 1,; Nikki
  L. Blough of Hyndman, RD 1; Jeffrey T. Blough of Spokane, Wash.; four
  daughters:  Sue Ann Bittner of Somerset, Cindy L. Romesburg of Meyersdale,
  Karen D. Horner of Mercersburg, Colleen Kennell of Hyndman RD 1; a foster
  daughter, Jolee Brindle of Greencastle; 17 grandchildren; 16
  great-grandchildren; and two sisters:  Sue Pelesky of Stoystown; Nancy
  Secrest of Scotland, Pa.; Mrs. Blough was a homemaker and a former nurse at
  the Somerset Hospital.  Friends will be received at the Harvey H. Zeigler
  Funeral Home, Hyndman, on Thursday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m.  Services
  will be conducted at the funeral home on Friday at 11 a.m. with the Rev.
  Donald Meyers officiating.  Interment will be in Comps Cemetery.
