  BLOUGH
  
  Betty Elaine Blough, 80, of Friedens, died May 31, 2003 at Somerset
  Hospital.  Born April 20, 1923 in Somerset Township, a daughter of Elwood
  Peter and Edna (Kuhs) Gastiger.  Preceded in death by parents.  Survived by
  husband, Vernon Loraine Blough to whom she was married 53 years; son, Roger
  E. Blough, married to the former Deborah Shaffer of Friedens; two
  grandchildren, William V. Blough and Cynthia Jo Blough; and two brothers,
  William and Robert K. Gastiger, both of Friedens.  A 1941 graduate of
  Somerset Township High School.  Member of Friedens Lutheran Church. 
  Friends received 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the Hauger-Zeigler
  Funeral Home, Somerset.  Service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday at
  the Friedens Lutheran Church, Friedens.  The Rev. Edward V. DeVore
  officiating.  Interment, Friedens Cemetery.  Viewing one hour prior to the
  service at the church.  Contributions may be made to Somerset Chapter of
  American Cancer Society, 168 West Union Street, Somerset, Pa. 15501.
