Blough, aged 74 years, the first resident of Holsopple[sic] and one of the best-known residents of the community, died at his home there at 6 o'clock last Sunday morning. Mr. and Mrs. Blough celebrated their 54th wedding anniversary on December 14 last. He had been employed in hauling the mail from the post office to the B. & O. Railroad passenger station up until his illness. He was a lifelong member of the United Brethren Church. He is survived by his wife, and these children: Mahlon, of Emeigh; John H., Mrs. Norah Hutzel, James W., Conley and Mrs. Minnie V. Law, all of Holsopple; Irwin B., of Derry, and Mrs. Hulda A. Robins, of Johnstown. Thirty-six grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren survive. Meyersdale Republican, January 16, 1930
