    Esther N. (Shaffer) Blough, 72, of Boswell RD 1, died the evening of July
  29, 1993, at Mercy Medical Center.  Born Aug. 10, 1920, in Conemaugh
  Township.  Daughter of Clarence L. and Gladys (Thomas) Shaffer.  Preceded
  in death by father in 1976.  Survived by mother, Boswell RD 1; and husband,
  Vernon I.  Sister of Grace, wife of Ralph Weaver, Boswell RD 1; and Richard
  Blaine, married to Betty Good, Holsopple RD 2.  Also these nieces and
  nephews:  Rusty Weaver, Cindy Gehlmann, Belinda Stein, James and Robert
  McKinley and Barbara Alt.  Sister-in-law of, Morgan, married to Geneva
  Wren, and Irene, widow of Charles McKinley, both of Richland Township. 
  member of Thomas Mennonite Church.  Retired garment worker with 22 years of
  service.  Observed 36th wedding anniversary Mat 3, 1993.  Friends received
  from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and until noon Sunday at Hoffman
  Funeral Home, Main Street, Boswell, viewing also from 1 p.m. until the time
  of service at 2 p.m. Sunday at Thomas Mennonite Church.  Revs. Homer E.
  Schrock, Donald Speigle and Aldus Wingard officiating.  Interment church
  cemetery.
